Teachers are leaders. The fact that their followers are children and teenagers makes them no less of a leader than a pastor, administrator, corporate CEO, or government official. Following key leadership practices will assist teachers with their instruction, problem solving, and relationships.

ADVICE FOR EDUCATORS
- Relationships: Let God use every person (good or bad) to shape your character.
- Trust: Build a foundation that will enable others to follow you.
- Process: Give God time. He’s not wasting yours.
- Vision: Cast a vision for those you lead.
- Progress: Don’t let moderate success impede progress.
- Mentoring: Inspire biblical value development, not just compliance.
- Communication: Master communication to share your vision and motivate people.
- Excellence: Replace perfection with a God-honoring standard.
- Motivating: Encourage students and reward successes.
- Priority: Focus on what is most important to keep students from being sidetracked.
- Listening: Become a listener rather than being preoccupied with self.
- Inspiration: Leaders should inspire and train new leaders.
